The Byron Bay Services Club Rams are into their third consecutive FFNC Premier Division Grand Final after defeating Lismore Thistles 2-1 after extra time in the Preliminary Final.

A goal by Jonathan Pierce in extra time sealed the victory for the Rams and will give them the chance to win their third Grand Final Championship in as many years.

Waiting for them in the decider is South Lismore who are making their first appearance in a Grand Final for 26 years. 1993 was the last time Souths contested a Premier Division Grand Final when a Brett Towner double saw them defeat Lismore Workers 2-1 for their first – and only – premiership success.

The decider will be a replay of this year’s Major Semi-Final where South Lismore triumphed in a penalty shoot-out. It will also be the fifth time Byron Bay FC have faced South Lismore this season with the ledger currently even at two wins apiece.

Crozier Field in Lismore will be the venue for the match on Saturday 21 September. Kick-off is at 5:30pm with Byron Bay FC also competing in the Premier Reserve Grand Final at 3pm.
